Traveling along a Middle Village street proved dangerous for a man who was hospitalized with minor injuries after his sports utility vehicle overturned Saturday night, July 5, it was reported. FDNY sources said the accident occurred at around 10:10 p.m. near the intersection of 82nd Street and 62nd Avenue. Nearly 60 packages of fireworks were seized from scofflaws by the 106th Precinct last Friday during a Fourth of July crackdown. As noted, assigned details of local officers patrolled streets in Howard Beach, Ozone Park, South Ozone Park and South Richmond Hill and issued summonses to individuals who were caught selling, possessing or lighting the illegal pyrotechnics.
