Continue Fight For Affordable Housing

After City Council Members Tony Avella (second from left in top photo) and Eric Gioia (third from left) listened to testimony at a public hearing in Manhattan on the city's Hunters Point South middleincome housing project on Oct. 24, the two legislators joined representatives from Catholic Charities, ACORN and other organizations in a rally on the steps on the City Hall (bottom photo). As in a recent rally in Hunters Point, the two lawmakers joined the groups' call for more affordable housing at the proposed development. The City Council will vote on Hunters Point South on Nov. 12.
