OLH Eighth Graders Take Diocesan Title
      On Sunday Nov. 16, the Our Lady of Hope Eighth Grade Girls Soccer Team repeated as Diocesan Champions by defeating St. Francis DeSales for the second straight year. The Hope team was undefeated. The only blemish on their record was an early season tie with St. Gregory's.

      Layoffs, lack of sponsorship, and the need to cut back on expenses is affecting every NASCAR race team. The big question is how will these changes impact the sport? "I've never quite seen the garage like this," said team owner Bill Davis, who admits his Cup team might not be back in 2009 if he cannot find a sponsor.

RGMVM Twins Win Queens Alliance Title
      The Queens Alliance Junior division concluded its season on Nov. 28 with a championship game between RGMVM Twins and Forest Hills. Taking the hill for the Twins on a chilly 42-degree day was hard throwing righty John Cudak.

Blau Weiss U8s Head To Long Island
      There wasn't too much action taking place on the fields over the weekend but Blau Weiss still managed to get a number of games in between Academy, tournament and league play. U8s The U8s were at the Long Island Rough Riders Tournament where they took first place after compiling a record of three wins and one tie.
