While responding to a 911 call in Ridgewood, three police officers and two civilians were injured after a pair of patrol cars crashed into each other at the intersection of Fresh Pond Road and Catalpa Avenue on Wednesday morning, Dec. 10, it was reported. Fire Department sources said the chain reaction accident, which occurred at around 9:20 a.m., caused one of the police cruisers to mount the sidewalk and strike a male pedestrian before colliding into the rear of a school bus. Members of Engine Company 286, Ladder Company 135, the 104th Precinct, EMS units and the Forest Hills Volunteer Ambulance Corps responded to the scene.
