      As a follow-up to last week's analysis of intriguing National League outfielders, here's a few American Leaguers that should spark interest at the position. Matt Joyce (TB): Joyce is a 24- year-old with major upside, who was recently traded from Detroit to Tampa Bay, and is slated to be part of a lefty-righty platoon with Gabe Gross.

Kenseth Wins Wet Daytona 500 As Rain Shortens NASCAR's Big Race
      The 2009 Daytona 500 had many lead changes and dramatic duels between lots of good drivers, but in the end, it was rain and a push from Kevin Harvick that allowed Matt Kenseth to claim the victory. Kenseth cried tears of joy in victory lane.

St. John's Prep Girls Perfect
      The St. John's Prep Varsity Girls' Basketball team completed their regular season on Feb. 11 with a 65-42 win at home over St. Agnes. The victory brought the team's record to a perfect 14-0, good enough for a first-round bye in the Diocesan playoffs.

'Agent Hero' Gives To Little League
      Abraham "Kevin" Spann, an Allstate Insurance agent who works out of a Metropolitan Avenue office in Middle Village, was recently named an Allstate Agent Hero for awarding a $1,000 grant to the Ridgewood-Glendale Middle Village-Maspeth Little League.
