The Kiwanis Club of Glendale installed the first members of its P.S. 239 (P.O. Ramon Suarez School) K-Kids Club at the Ridgewood school on Friday, May 29. The club, chartered in March, consists of 26 students in the third through fifth grades. Run by Kiwanian Millie Mandese and P.S. 239 teacher Nancy Shaw, it builds on the local service organization's Key Clubs at Christ the King and Grover Cleveland high schools, its peer mediation program at I.S. 77, and its Circle K club at Queens College.
