Bushwick Pride Parade Celebrates Area Youth


Area kids filled the streets for the annual Bushwick Pride Parade last Thursday, June 10, stepping off at around 10 a.m. from the playground at I.S. 383, located and concluding with a barbecue at the Hope Gardens Community Center. This year’s parade paid special tribute to youth, trumpeting the achievements of Bushwick’s youngsters. As shown in top left photo, a group from Roundtable Child Care Center passed by the 83rd Precinct. As shown in top right photo, Boy Scout Troop 233 waived carried the flag for their organization. As shown in bottom photo, a group from the Audrey Johnson Day Care Center joined the march. The parade was sponsored by Brooklyn Community Board 4.
