City Should Trim Trees Before Storms
     Dear Editor: With the hurricane season now upon us, many of the street trees in the city are in need of extensive pruning and maintenance. Given what happened in Central Park last August, when a severe thunderstorm damaged or destroyed 500 trees, it is imperative that the Parks Department make widesspread tree maintenance one of their top and urgent priorities.
