One Of Three Jackson Hts. Robbers Is Cuffed By Cops
Trio Caught On Tape With Handgun
Samuel Johnson, 17, of Southern Boulevard in the Bronx was arrested last Thursday, July 22 and charged with robbery and criminal possession of stolen property for his role in the crime, which reportedly occurred at about 3 a.m. that Sunday in the vicinity of the Jackson Heights/Roosevelt Avenue train station, at the confluence of Broadway, Roosevelt Avenue and 74th Street in the confines of the 115th Precinct. Allegedly, as the victim was exiting the station, he was followed by Johnson and two other suspects. As the victim walked into an apartment building two blocks away on 75th Street, the three suspects reportedly produced a black handgun, pointed it at the victim and removed a cellphone and cash from him before fleeing in an unknown direction. The date of the incident was originally incorrectly given in last week’s Times Newsweekly as July 7.
