Flames Scorch Astoria Factory


Firefighters were on the scene of a one-alarm fire that broke out inside an Astoria warehouse last Friday morning, Sept. 24. According to FDNY sources, the flames ignited at about 10:50 a.m. in the one-story industrial building located at the corner of 48th Street and Astoria Boulevard. Members of Engine companies 262, 286, 312 and 325; Ladder companies 117, 154 and 163; Rescue 4; Squad Co. 288 and Battalions 46 and 49—under the direction of Division 14—responded to the scene along with EMS units and the 114th Precinct.
