     Dear Editor: President Obama should take a stand against oil and gas drilling in the United States. The impacts of hydraulic fracking, a form of natural gas drilling, are too severe and critical to ignore; people’s health is at risk as well as New York’s beautiful Catskills.

Senior Cuts Ought To Be Thrown Out
     Dear Editor: It’s budget season—which means that, once again, vital services are in jeopardy to our most vulnerable citizens. Over the past several weeks I have heard concerns from worried senior citizens that their centers are going to be closing. These senior centers give our seniors a place to go, eat, and socialize with other members of the community.
