Alleged Drunk Driver Hits Glendale Home
A woman was taken into custody by police on suspicion of drunk driving after the car she was operating lost control and slammed into a Glendale home early last Friday morning, July 1, authorities said. Reportedly, the crash occurred at around 5 a.m. on Central Avenue near 70th Street. Members of Engine Co. 286, Ladder co. 135, Rescue 4, Battalion 28, the 104th Precinct and EMS units responded to the scene. No one in the home nor the driver were injured. Buildings Department personnel later arrived at the scene to inspect the residence for structural damage.
