DEATH NOTICES

MARY LILLIAN SEGRETI of Bogart, Ga. died on Thursday, August 4, at the age of 78. A native of New York City, she was preceded in death by her husband of more than 50 years, Mario Segreti, and is survived by her dear sister, Catherine Adinolfi. A loving and devoted mother, Mary will be greatly missed by her children, Joanne (and her husband, Bill Baldauf), Rosemary, Joseph, Steven (and his wife, Mary Segreti), and her adopted daughter, Marie Coleman. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren, Steven and Kenneth Baldauf and Thomas and Teresa Segreti.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Wednesday, August 10, at Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal, Ridgewood, followed by entombment at St. John Cemetery, Middle Village. A wake was held on Tuesday, August 9, at Morton Funeral Home/Ridgewood Chapels, 663 Grandview Ave., Ridgewood. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to any of her charities: Salesian Missions, American Lung Association and St. Joseph Indian School. Local services were provided by Lord & Stephens Funeral Home, East Chapel, Ga.

+++ MARGARETE HARASYM died on Wednesday, August 3, at the age of 81. She was the beloved wife of George, loving mother of Melanie and the late Leslie and dear sister of Hilde, Lisel, Lanne, Bernhardt and Norbert. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered on Monday, August 8, at St. Mary’s Church, Woodside, followed by interment at St. Michael’s Cemetery, East Elmhurst, under the direction of Papavero Funeral Home, 72-27 Grand Ave., Maspeth.

+++ LOUIS S. FERRARA died on Wednesday, August 3, at the age of 86. He was the beloved husband of Rosalie, loving father of James Ferrara and Mary Lou Botto, cherished grandfather of Thomas, Kristin, Alyse, Jennifer and Christopher and great-grandfather of Giuliana Lucia. He was also a U.S. Army veteran who served during World War II. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered on Saturday, August 6, at St. Margaret Church, Middle Village, followed by interment at St. John Cemetery, Middle Village, under the direction of Papavero Funeral Home, 72-27 Grand Ave., Maspeth.

+++ JUAN A. ROSA of Ridgewood died on Thursday, August 4, at the age of 51. A native of Boston, he was the beloved husband of Marjorie McDermott. Services were ofered at Morton Funeral Home/Ridgewood Chapels, 663 Grandview Ave., Ridgewood, followed by cremation at Fresh Pond Crematory, Middle Village.

+++ SAMIR IBRAHIM of Ridgewood died on Sunday, August 7, at the age of 73. A native of Cairo, Egypt, he was the husband of the late Aida, devoted father of Saher Erian, Amal Ibrahim, Gihan Ibrahim and Amir Abrahim and dear brother of Zakria Ibrahim. He is also survived by eight grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered at St. Mary’s-St. Antonio’s Coptic Orthodox Church, Ridgewood, followed by interment at Linden Hill Cemetery, Ridgewood, under the direction of Morton Funeral Home/Ridgewood Chapels, 663 Grandview Ave., Ridgewood.

+++ SLOBODANKA PUMPALOVIC of Flushing died on Saturday, August 6, at the age of 63. A native of Gorazdevac, Serbia, she was the beloved wife of Radlslav Pumpalovic, devoted mother of Marco Pumpalovic, Milos Pumpalovic and Gordana Pumpalovic and dear sister of Milanka Manojlovic, Radmila Manojlovic, Verica Manojlovic, Nadica Manojlovic and Zoran Manojlovic. She is also survived by one grandchild. Services were offered at Morton Funeral Home/Ridgewood Chapels, 663 Grandview Ave., Ridgewood, by Rev. Djokan Majstorovic, followed by interment at Municipal Cemetery, Lazarevac, Serbia.
