MTA Smoking Ban Arriving This November
Will Prevent Second-Hand Exposure On Train Platforms
     State Sen. Toby Ann Stavisky announced that the State Senate passed legislation earlier this year aiming to protect railroad passengers from the harms of second-hand smoke. The bill (S.3461C), which bans smoking on all MTA platforms, was signed last Monday, Aug. 15 by Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo and will take effect on Nov. 13.
