Trio Sought For Fatally Beating Man

Law enforcement agents have released the images of three suspects who are wanted in connection with the deadly assault of a 42- year-old Bushwick man at his residence early on Sunday morning, Aug. 21.

Police said Alexis Cevallos, 42, was stabbed and beaten over the head at his home on Evergreen Avenue between Cooper and Moffat streets at around 1:45 a.m. Sunday.

Members of the 83rd Precinct found the victim at the location after receiving calls regarding the assault. Cevallos was reportedly semi-conscious after being stabbed once in the arm and struck in the head with a blunt object.

EMS units arrived at the scene a short time later and transported the man to Brookdale University Hospital, where he later died of his injuries.

According to information obtained by police, an argument was heard from inside the residence just before the assault was reported.

Three unidentified men were observed fleeing from the scene shortly before police arrived, law enforcement sources said. The suspects were described as African-American males, each of whom were wearing black clothing.

-SEE KILLED ON PG. 71- surveillance cameras near the location, which were subsequently obtained by police as part of their investigation into the incident.

One of the perpetrators is described as being heavy-set, while another suspect was observed having his hair in cornrows.

The 83rd Precinct Detective Squad is among the police units conducting the ongoing investigation, police said.
