The MTA has scheduled a number of service changes for several subway lines throughout the city due to construction work. These service advisories are current as of Wednesday, Aug. 31. Last minute changes to service and operating schedules may be made due to weather-related conditions or emergency repairs. Check www.mta.info for schedule changes. Rail lines which run through the area that will be affected include the following: 7 Trains Skip Stops In Woodside, S’side. Manhattan-bound 7 trains will skip the 69th Street, 52nd Street, 46th Street, 40th Street and 33rd Street stations on Tuesday, Sept. 6 through Friday, Sept. 9, from 10:30 a.m. until 3 p.m. For service to these stations, take the 7 train to Woodside-61st Street or Queensboro Plaza, then transfer to a Flushing-bound 7 train. For service from these stations, take the 7 train to Woodside-61st Street or 74th Street, then transfer to a Manhattan-bound 7 train. Weekday Split Service On L Line In Brooklyn L train service will be split in two sections—between Eighth Avenue and Broadway Junction and between Broadway Junction and Rockaway Parkway—on Tuesday, Sept. 6, through Friday, Sept. 9, from 10:15 a.m. until 3:05 p.m. This service change will also be in effect the following week between Monday, Sept. 12, and Friday, Sept. 16. Customers can transfer between L trains at Broadway Junction to continue their trip. As a result, all L trains operating between Broadway Junction and Rockaway Parkway will run every 24 minutes. Riders are advised to plan their trips accordingly. Additionally, L train service will be suspended between 14th Street- Union Square and Eighth Avenue in Manhattan this weekend, from 12:01 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 3, until 5 a.m. Monday, Sept. 5. As a result, L trains will operate in two sections: between Rockaway Parkway and Bedford Avenue and between Bedford Avenue and Union Square (where trains will operate every 16 minutes). Riders can transfer between L trains at Bedford Avenue to continue their trip. In Manhattan, riders can transfer from the L train to free shuttle buses and the M14 bus to reach Sixth Avenue and Eighth Avenue. Overnight Switch On E, M Trains Manhattan-bound E trains will run on the F line between 36th Street in Queens and West Fourth Street in Manhattan late nights on Thursday, Sept. 1, Friday, Sept. 2, and Tuesday, Sept. 6 through Friday, Sept. 9, from 10 p.m. until 5 a.m.; and this weekend, from 12:01 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 3, until 5 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 6. Additionally, Manhattan-bound M trains will operate on the F line between 36th Street in Queens and 47th-50th Streets in Manhattan on Monday through Thursday from 10 p.m. until midnight. For service to the Queens Plaza and Court Square-23rd Street stations, take the E or M train to 21st Street-Queensbridge and transfer to a free shuttle bus that will stop at both stations. For service from these stations, take the shuttle bus to 21st Street-Queensbridge for transfers to the E or M train. N Trains Skips Qns. Stops On Weekdays Manhattan-bound N trains will skip the 30th Avenue, Broadway, 36th Avenue and 39th Avenue stations on Thursday, Sept. 1, Friday, Sept. 2, and Wednesday, Sept. 7, through Friday, Sept. 9, from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. During this service change, there will be no Q train service between Ditmars Boulevard and 57th Street- Seventh Avenue. Additionally, N trains will skip the same stops this weekend, from 4 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 3, until 10 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 4; Q trains do not run to Queens on weekends. For service to these stations, take the N train to Queensboro Plaza, then transfer to an Astoria-bound N train. For service from these stations, take the N train to Astoria Boulevard, then transfer to a Manhattan-bound N train.
