JAMES P. DONOVAN of Glendale died on Saturday, August 27, at the age of 88. A native of Brooklyn, he was the husband of the late Viola A. (nee Myers) and devoted father of James P. Jr., Timothy and Thomas Donovan and Sheryl Iovino. He is also survived by five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Services were offered at George Werst Funeral Home, A Dignity Provider, 71-41 Cooper Ave., Glendale, followed by interment at Cypress Hills Cemetery.

JOHN J. STEIPER of Woodhaven died on Sunday, August 28, at the age of 64. A native of Brooklyn, he was the devoted father of Kimberly A. Torres and Katherine M. Steiper, loving son of Agnes (nee Hill) and dear brother of Michael Steiper. He is also survived by two grandchildren. Services were offered at George Werst Funeral Home, A Dignity Provider, 71-41 Cooper Ave., Glendale, by Rev. Gregory Sutterlin, followed by interment at Calverton National Cemetery, Calverton, L.I.

THERESA BARBIERI of Staten Island died on Saturday, August 20, at the age of 84. A native of Staten Island and the Bronx, she was the wife of the late Ralph, devoted mother of Lucille Higgins and the late Joseph, dear sister of Alfred Daniello and grandmother of Steven, Meghan and Emily Higgins. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered at Church of the Holy Family, Staten Island, followed by interment at Cemetery of the Resurrection, Staten Island, under the direction of Peter J. Geis Funeral Home, 57-34 Catalpa Ave., Ridgewood.

HILDA STALZER of Ridgewood died on Sunday, August 28, at thea ge of 89. A native of Perrigel, Gottschee, Yugoslavia, she was the wife of the late Heinrich, devoted mother of Edeltraud Meditz and Helga Brugger, dear mother-in-law of Harold Meditz and Hans Brugger, dear sister of Anna Wolf, fond sister-in-law of Stephanie Stalzer and cherished grandmother of Christine and Carolyn Meditz. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered at Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church, Ridgewood, followed by interment at St. Charles Cemetery, Farmingdale, L.I., under the direction of Morton Funeral Home/Ridgewood Chapels, 663 Grandview Ave., Ridgewood.
