Reveler Fatally Knifed During Dispute

The unidentified suspect who fatally stabbed a 27-year-old man outside a house party in Bushwick early last Saturday morning, Sept. 3, remains at large as of press time, according to police.

Law enforcement sources identified the victim as Craig Jackson of Seagirt Avenue in Far Rockaway.

Members of the 83rd Precinct found Jackson unconscious with three stab wounds about his body in front of a building on Central Avenue near Eldert Street at around 5:35 a.m. Saturday morning.

According to information obtained by police, Jackson was attending a party nearby when he got into a dispute with the suspect, described as an African-American male in his 20s standing at about 5’5”-tall.

Moments later, law enforcement sources said, Jackson was stabbed in the neck and torso by the perpetrator, who fled from the scene in an unknown direction.

EMS units responded to the scene and transported Jackson to Woodhull Hospital Center, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

Police units canvassed the surrounding area for evidence and the suspect involved in the murder case; despite their efforts, it was noted, no immediate arrests were made.

The ongoing investigation is being conducted by the 83rd Precinct Detective Squad, police said.
