Ready To Rumble At County Fair
Arm Grapplers To Vie For Queens Title
Over 150 men, women and children will flex their muscles and come to grips at the White Castle 34th Annual Queensboro Arm Wrestling Championships, the New York Arm Wrestling Association announced. The two-day event, from Sept. 17 -18, will be located at the main stage of the fairgrounds at the Queens County Farm Museum’s Queens County Fair, at 73-50 Little Neck Pkwy. in Floral Park. Both days’ events will begin at 1 p.m. The White Castle Queens Open Junior and Novice Adults Arm Wrestling Challenge will be held on Sept. 17 at 1 p.m. for boys and girls seven to 17 years old and novice male and female adults in various weight and age categories. Awards are for first, second and third place. A parent or guardian signature is required for anyone 17 years old and under. Amy Boncardo, the Executive Director of the Queens County Farm Museum said, “We are very excited to celebrate our 29th Annual Queens County Fair. The Queens Arm Wrestling Championships is an exciting opportunity to watch friends and family strut their strength. It’s a great experience for children and adults of all ages!” The 34th White Castle Queensboro Armwrestling Championships will be held on Sept. 18 at 1 p.m. There are 14 Amateur and Pro weight class categories for men and women and awards are given for first, second and third place. Queens’ Strongest Man and Woman will receive $100 cash prizes.
