PEDESTRIAN HIT BY TRUCK IN REGO PK.
A man was critically injured after being struck by a truck at the corner of Woodhaven Boulevard and Penelope Avenue in Rego Park last Wednesday, Sept. 7, FDNY sources said. Members of the 104th Precinct, NYPD Highway Patrol Unit 3 and EMS units responded to the accident, which occurred at around 3:15 p.m. According to information obtained by police, the pedestrian was crossing the boulevard against the light when he was hit by the delivery truck. The driver reportedly remained at the scene until police arrived. Authorities said the victim remains hospitalized on life support and in very critical condition as of press time.
