GERTRUDE ANN MOONEY (nee HESS), former owner of Hess-Miller Funeral Home in Middle Village, died on Sunday, November 6, in Brooksville, Fla. She was predeceased by her loving husband Harold, daughter Patricia Ann Nolan and son Michael Joseph. She is survived by loving daughters Linda Conlisk, Gertrude Reilly and Kathleen LaSala, sons-in-law Thomas, Richard and Joseph, daughter-in-law Diane, 12 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was a long-standing member and past president of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Rosary Altar Society. Services were offered under the direction of Brewer and Son Funeral Home, Spring Hill, Fla.

She was the cherished aunt of John and Anne Hein, Mary Ellen and Steve Hepburn, Bob Hein, Kathy and Paul Carlozzo, Judy and Paul Veliyathil, Patricia Stafford and Ellen Stafford and devoted sister of Ruth. Lonergan and is survived by 30 nieces and nephews, 29 great nieces and nephews and four great-great nieces and nephews. He was a U.S. Army veteran who served during the Vietnam War.
