DEATH NOTICES

MARY M. RIORDAN of Ridgewood died on Sunday, November 27, at the age of 95. A native of Ridgewood, she was the wife of the late Thomas F.X. and devoted mother of Mary Wilhelm, Thomas F.X. and Veronica Lindemann. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren and was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America. Awake for Riordan will be held today, Thursday, December 1, from 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at Peter J. Geis Funeral Home, 57-34 CatalpaAve., Ridgewood. AMass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday, December 2, at 10:15 a.m. at St. Matthias Church, Ridgewood, followed by interment at Calvary Cemetery, Woodside.

ZOFIA PODHAJECKI died on Monday, November 28, at the age of 75. She was the beloved wife of Mieczyslaw Podhajecki, loving mother of Lenny Podhajecki, Jerry Podhajecki and John Podhajecki, mother-in-law of Agnieszka, cherished grandmother of Nicholas and dear sister of Alicjia Suszek and the late Stanley Kot. AMass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday, December 2, at 9:45 a.m. at Holy Cross Church, Maspeth, followed by interment at St. John Cemetery, Middle Village, under the direction of Papavero Funeral Home, 72-27 Grand Ave., Maspeth.

VICTORIA MARINO died on Monday, November 28, at the age of 93. She was the wife of the late Paul Marino, dear sister of the late Sophie Duskin and Stella Olkowski and a cherished aunt to many nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered tomorrow, Friday, December 2, at St. Mary’s Church, Woodside, followed by interment at Calverton National Cemetery, Calverton, L.I., under the direction of Papavero Funeral Home, 72-27 Grand Ave., Maspeth.

ALEJANDRINA LATORRE died on Monday, October 17, at the age of 86. She was the beloved wife of Manuel Jacinto, dear sister of Johnny and the lateMiguelinaMorales, cherished great aunt of Denine Paris and loving stepmother of Claudio Jacinto. Services were offered on Tuesday, November 29, at Papavero Funeral Home, 72-27 Grand Ave., Maspeth, followed by entombment at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Maspeth.

BARBARA KVARTEK died on Tuesday, November 22, at the age of 65. She was the wife of the late William Kvartek, loving mother of Dawn Mulvey and Matthew Kvartek, cherished grandmother of Kyle and Aiden and dear sister of Joseph Kwiat and Regina Kwiat. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered on Tuesday, November 29, at Ascension Church, Elmhurst, followed by cremation at Fresh Pond Crematory, Middle Village, under the direction of Papavero Funeral Home, 72-27 Grand Ave., Maspeth.

JOHN JOSEPH CONROY died on Tuesday, November 22, at the age of 74. He was the beloved husband of Kathleen M. Conroy, loving father of Colleen, John T., Timothy and Patricia, dear father-in-law of Jane, Carol and Brian, cherished grandfather of Johnny, Matthew, Katie Rose, Brian, Timothy, Jack, Christopher, Benjamin andAngela and dear brother of Dennis Conroy and Brian Conroy. He was also a U.S. Army veteran who served during the Vietnam War. DIMITRIJE DRAKSIN of Cliffside Park, N.J. died on Thursday, November 24, at the age of 66. A native of Vladamirovic, Yugoslavia, he was the beloved husband of Rakhila, devoted father of Peter Draksin and dear brother of Maria Draksin and Persa Sakosan. Services were offered at Morton Funeral Home/Ridgewood Chapels, 663 Grandview Ave., Ridgewood, by Fr. Cohenge Schiop, followed by interment at Linden Hill Cemetery, Ridgewood.

ERWALD GLIEBE of Ridgewood died on Monday, November 21, at the age of 97. A native of Kukendorf, Gottschee, Austria, he was the husband of the late Albina, devoted father of Margaret Tscherne, Werner Gliebe and Elfriede Anschlowar and dear brother of Emma Rauch. He is also survived by five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He was also a member of the Gottscheer Rod and Gun Club. AMass of Christian Burial was offered at Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church, Ridgewood, followed by interment at St. Charles Cemetery, Farmingdale, L.I., under the direction of Morton Funeral Home/Ridgewood Chapels, 663 Grandview Ave., Ridgewood.

FLORENCE M. LYNCH (Flo) of Raleigh, N.C. died on Sunday, November 27, at the age of 81. A native of Ridgewood, she was the wife of the late John J., devoted mother of Kathy and Phil Stines and John and Noreen Lynch, and dear grandmother of Tara, Kerin and Shannon. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered at St. Matthias Church, Ridgewood, followed by interment at Calverton National Cemetery, Calverton, L.I., under the direction of Peter J. Geis Funeral Home, 57-34 Catalpa Ave., Ridgewood.
