Gang Stabs Pair On Woodside St.

Eight Perps Sought For Double Knifing

Two men were seriously injured after being stabbed by a group of assailants at a Woodside intersection last Saturday night, Dec. 17, and police are continuing to search for the suspects responsible, it was reported.

Law enforcement sources said the assault occurred at around 9:05 p.m. last Saturday at the corner of Roosevelt Avenue and 70th Street.

Reportedly, a group of eight unidentified males approached the two victims and assaulted them. The motives for their attack remain under investigation, police said.

One of the male victims, aged 52, was knifed in the chest while the other victim, a 44-year-old male, was stabbed in the abdomen, authorities

Following the attack, the group of suspects fled from the scene in an unknown direction.

Members of the 108th Precinct and EMS units responded to the scene. Both victims were taken by paramedics to a local hospital for treatment of their injuries, which were not considered to be life-threatening.

As of press time Wednesday afternoon, no arrests have been made in the case, and an investigation by the 108th Precinct Detective Squad is ongoing, according to police.
