DEATH NOTICES

PATRICIA R. BOWE of Forest Hills died on Sunday, December 18, at the age of 78. A native of Ridgewood, she was the devoted mother of Kathy Beaulieu, long-term companion of Fred Rippili, dear sister of Dennis McMahon and the late John and Eileen Moon and fond grandmother of Michelle and Alex. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered today, Thursday, December 22, at St. Matthias Church, Ridgewood, followed by cremation at Fresh Pond Crematory, Middle Village, under the direction of Peter J. Geis Funeral Home, 57-34 Catalpa Ave., Ridgewood.

ISIDORO B. MEOGROSSI died on Friday, December 16, at the age of 88. He was the husband of the late Maria Grazia Meogrossi and loving father of Agostina A. Meogrossi. Interment was held at Cimitero di Cerchio, Italy, under the direction of Papavero Funeral Home, 72-27 Grand Ave., Maspeth.

JULIETTE WALTER died on Friday, December 16, at the age of 82. She was the wife of the late Alexander, loving mother of Alex and Doug, mother-in-law of Liz and Joan, cherished grandmother of Stephanie and Tom, great-grandmother of Gabriel, Chelsea and Kayleen and dear sister of Leonard, Judy and Antoinette Minervini. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered on Tuesday, December 20, at St. Stanislaus Church, Maspeth, followed by interment at Mount St. Mary’s Cemetery, Flushing, under the direction of Papavero Funeral Home, 72-27 Grand Ave., Maspeth.

LUISA GRANCIO died on Friday, December 16, at the age of 88. She was the beloved wife of Michael Grancio, loving mother of James Grancio, Michael Grancio and Connie Ziccardi and dear sister of Josephine Conte and Catherine Napolitano. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and three great-greatgrandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered on Wednesday, December 21, at Our Lady of Hope Church, Middle Village, followed by entombment at Pinelawn Memorial Park, Farmingdale, L.I., under the direction of Papavero Funeral Home, 72-27 Grand Ave., Maspeth.

MARGARET R. BASS died on Thursday, December 15, at the age of 82. She was the wife of the late Carl, loving mother of Regina B. Vertuccio, Antonio, Benny, Bernadette and the late Peter, Carl, Lourdes and Christina, mother-in-law of Vinny Vertuccio, Mary Alice Bass and Tina Moy, cherished grandmother of Jonathan, John, Antonio, Christopher, Lauren, Briana, Christina, Gina, Lourdes and Jessiah and dear sister of Hannah Chesson. She was a former bank investigator for JPMorgan Chase Bank. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered on Tuesday, December 20, at Transfiguration Church, Maspeth, followed by cremation at Fresh Pond Crematory, Middle Village and later interment of cremated remains at St. Charles Cemetery, Farmingdale, L.I., under the direction of Papavero Funeral Home, 72-27 Grand Ave., Maspeth.

MARIE RUBINO died on Thursday, December 15, at the age of 85. She was the wife of the late Ross Rubino, loving mother of Ralph Rubino, Joseph Rubino and Rosemaria R. Cesare, mother-in-law of Irma, Susan and Frank and cherished grandmother of Andrew, Maria Christina, Caroline, Daniel, Matthew, Joseph and Frank Ross. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered on Monday, December 19, at Our Lady of Hope Church, Middle Village, followed by entombment at St. John Cemetery Resurrection Mausoleum, Middle Village, under the direction of Papavero Funeral Home, 72-27 Grand Ave., Maspeth.

CONSTANCE JORDAN died on Wednesday, December 14, at the age of 91. A private cremation was held on Friday, December 16, at Fresh Pond Crematory, Middle Village, under the direction of Papavero Funeral Home, 72-27 Grand Ave., Maspeth.

JOSE ENRIQUE BURGOS died on Wednesday, December 14, at the age of 67. He was the husband of the late Awilda Burgos, loving father of Gabriela Burgos, father-in-law of David and cherished grandfather of Sebastian. A private cremation was held on Friday, December 16, at Fresh Pond Crematory, Middle Village. MARGARET PHILLIPS died on Tuesday, December 13, at the age of 94. She was the wife of the late Robert Phillips, loving mother of Peggy Ann Phillips, Maureen Phillips, Patricia Dorman and Rosemary Phillips, cherished grandmother of Allan, Keri and Pamela, greatgrandmother of Collin and dear sister of Rosemary Balbi. JOSEPH A. VETRANO SR. of Howard Beach died on Monday, December 19, at the age of 65. A native of Howard Beach, he was the devoted father of Anthony, Jody, Justin, Jesse, Jason, Joey, Seneca and James, dear brother of Lillian (Cookie) and fond grandfather of Tyler, Kayla, Samantha, Isabella, Cooper, Reese, Kiley, Trevor, Kristen and Kathleen. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered at St. Matthias Church, Ridgewood, followed by cremation at Fresh Pond Crematory, Middle Village, under the direction of Peter J. Geis Funeral Home, 57-34 Catalpa Ave., Ridgewood.

THEOFIL CAPOTA of Flushing died on Wednesday, December 14, at the age of 87. A native of Margau, Romania, he was the dear brother of Onita Capota, Ana Capota, Paula Capota, Emil Capota and Gabriel Capota. Services were offered at Morton Funeral Home/Ridgewood Chapels, 663 Grandview Ave., Ridgewood, by Rev. Levi Marin, followed by interment at Linden Hill Cemetery, Ridgewood.

ADELAIDA HERNANDEZ of Brooklyn died on Wednesday, December 14, at the age of 83. A native of Carolina, Puerto Rico, she was the wife of the late Enrique and devoted mother of Nancy Hernandez, Obel Hernandez, Joann Hernandez, Emily Hernandez and Zoraida Hernandez. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Services were offered at Morton Funeral Home/Ridgewood Chapels, 663 Grandview Ave., Ridgewood, by Rev. Ken Ott, followed by interment at Maple Grove Cemetery, Kew Gardens.
