City Council Member To Get Married

Dan Hendrick and City Council Member Jimmy Van Bramer. (photo: Jesse Winter) Wedding bells will ring this Saturday for City Council Member Jimmy Van Bramer and his partner of 13 years, Dan Hendrick, who will be married in Astoria.

The ceremony will take place at the rooftop of Studio Square, located at 35-44 37th St. Over 200 guests have been invited to attend.

Reportedly, the location was chosen because the view from the roof not only offers a view of the Manhattan skyline but of the area Van Bramer has served as an employee of the Queens Library, as a member of Community Board 2 and now as a local lawmaker.

Queens County Clerk Audrey Pheffer will officiate the wedding between Van Bramer and Hendrick, who currently serves as the communication director of the New York League of Conservation Voters.
