The Royals dominated possession throughout the game and had chances to score in the 20th minute when Sarah Nolan received a ball from Andrea Cardozo on the right flank. Senior Stephanie Rivera had a chance to score two minutes later and was stopped by the Mary Louis goal keeper. CK kept on pressing through- out the first half, but were not able to score.

The second half was a different story. Medina Mulic received a cross from junior captain Francesca Giglio and did not hesitate to head the ball in from 10 yards out. Scoring the goal allowed the Lady Royals to continue playing their possession game, which eventually resulted in a second goal as Nolan volleyed a pass from Cardozo into the near post.

The rest of the game was mostly played at the midfield area where CK midfielders Giglio, Cardozo, Rivera and Diana Paravatos were able to connect and control the tempo of the game.

This is CK's second consecutive Brooklyn/Queens AA title. Next for CK is the state semi-finals against Notre Dame Academy of Staten Island at Aviator Field.
