A City Line man was charged last Friday, Nov. 23 with the sexual assault of a woman inside an apartment building within the confines of the 94th Precinct earlier this month.

Laye Kaba, 31, of Hemlock Street ,was arrested inside a homeless shelter on 89 Porter Ave. in East Williamsburg, last Thursday, Nov. 22.

He has been charged with sexual assault, attempted rape, burglary, and menacing.

According to law enforcement, Kaba followed a 23-year-old woman into an apartment building (the address of which was not disclosed by police) and forcibly assaulted her at 5:45 a.m. on the morning of Nov. 17.

News reports claim that Kaba has prior criminal record.

Kaba did not post the required $125,000 bond/$100,000 cash bail at his Nov. 23 hearing in Kings County Criminal Court.

He was to appear in court on Wednesday, Nov. 28.
