FLAMES CHAR HOME IN RICHMOND HILL



A Richmond Hill home was gutted by flames during a one-alarm blaze last Saturday afternoon, Nov. 24, Fire Department sources said. Reportedly, the inferno broke out at aroudn 3 p.m. on the second-floor of a home on 97th Street near the Van Wyck Expressway. Responding to the scene (in the order of their arrival) were members of Squad companies 270 and 288; Engine companies 303, 298, 308 and 294; Ladder companies 126, 127, 155, 143 and 125; Rescue 4 and Battalions 50 and 51—under the direction of Division 13—along with the 102nd Precinct and EMS units. There were no reported injuries. Two hose lines were used by firefighters to bring the blaze under control, an FDNY source said.
