QABL Twins Win Three

The Queens Alliance Baseball League’s (QABL) Twins team took to the field the weekend of June 8 and 9 to win three games.

The Twins won three games this weekend in the Men’s Division of the QABL the weekend of June 8 and 9, putting up 35 runs over the three matches. They bested the BQ Mets 12-5 and swept a double header against the Spartans 12-4 and 11-5.

2013 is the first year NYU pitching coach John Evans has joined the Twins’ coaching staff. Evans comes from a major and minor league background and has already proved himself an asset to the team.

The Twins roster features 16 scholarship players attending various public and private schools around the state. Every player competes at a D2 or D3 level school, but many of them got their start playing in the Ridgewood-Glendale- Middle Village-Maspeth Little League.

The 4-2 Twins take the field next on Father’s Day—Sunday, June 14.
