DEATH NOTICES

of 82. A native of Unterbuchberg, Gottschee, Austria, he was the beloved
husband of Erika for 52 years; loving father of Annemarie and Robert
Weisenbach and Edmund andAnita; dear grandfather of Monica, Alex, David,
Andrew and Evan; cherished brother of Theresa Huber and the late Alois, Erna
and Dino Mezic, Trudy andAlois Putre and MaryAnn and Fredrick Petschauer;
brother-in-law of Rose Rom and Inge Rickert. He is also survived by numerous
cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by parents Sophie and
Ernst Sr.; brothers Ernst Jr., Erwin and Walter; and sisters-in-law Elfriede Rom
and Marlies teLake. He was a proud member of the Gottscheer Maennerchor
of Ridgewood for more than 50 years. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered
at Our Lady of Hope Church, Middle Village, followed by interment at Mount
Olivet Cemetery, Maspeth, under the direction of Leo F. Kearns Funeral Home,
61-40 Woodhaven Blvd., Rego Park.

MARYMONTEBELLO died on Sunday, April 13, at the age of 80. She was
the wife of the late Joseph Montebello, loving mother of Roseanne Montebello
and the late Vincent Montebello, cherished grandmother of Joseph and the late
Matthew, great-grandmother of Alyssa and devoted godmother of William.
She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends. A Mass of
Christian Burial will be offered this morning, Thursday, April 17, at 9:45 a.m.
at St. Mary’s Church, Woodside, followed by interment at Maple Grove
Cemetery, Kew Gardens, under the direction of Papavero Funeral Home, 72-
27 Grand Ave., Maspeth.

the beloved sister of Anthony Rabito, Phyllis Petrowski and the late James,
Frank, Joseph, John and Peter. She was a loving aunt to numerous nieces and

beloved husband of Elida Aman, loving father of Nelly Aman, Mariana
Alvarez, Gloria Aman, Luis Aman, Holguer Aman and Marcos Aman,
cherished grandfather of Tiffany, Roger, Brenda, Jeffrey, Evelyn, Kateryn,
Erika, Jeremy, Josh, Kerent, Jeremy, Thaly, Matthew, Nicole, Daniela,
Abraham, Jacob and Jean-Pierre, fond great-grandfather of Ryan and Keilah
and dear brother of Enma, Simon, Ercilia, Polivio, Aida, Serafin and the late

was the wife of the late Michael Prendergast, loving mother of Ann Marie
Egan and Michael Prendergast, mother-in-law of Anthony, cherished
grandmother of Taylor, Kate and T.J. and dear sister of Michael Cummins and
the late Thomas Cummins. AMass of Christian Burial was offered on Monday,

PETER SALA died on Thursday, April 10, at the age of 58. He was the beloved brother of Jeanne Anne Bianchi,
Andrew and the late James and Rose Marie, loving uncle of Nicole, Lucy, Kristyn, Gerard, Christopher, Patsy and the
late Gina Marie and cherished great-uncle of George, Jackson, Logan, Jordan and Courtney. A Mass of Christian Burial

FELIX TAVERAS of Brooklyn died on Friday, April 11, at the age of 77. A native of Santiago, Dominican Republic,
he was the beloved husband of Carmen Taveras and devoted father of Larry Taveras, Felix Taveras, Manuel Taveras,
Carmen Zuniga and Carmen Mediate. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. A Mass
of Christian Burial was offered at St. Martin of Tours Church, Bushwick, followed by interment at Cypress Hills
