Law enforcement agents need the public’s help in locating a male driver who attempted to lure a young girl off a Corona street last week.

The NYPD released last Thursday, Sept. 4, a sketch of the suspect, who was last observed operating a black, four-door Toyota Camry with tinted windows and white New York State license plates.

According to police, the vehicle appeared to be a model made between 2012 and 2014.

Reportedly, the incident occurred at about 6:30 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 1, in the area of Corona Avenue and National Street.

Authorities said the perpetrator, while behind the wheel of the Toyota Camry, pulled up to the location and motioned with his hand for the 7- year-old girl to approach.

Police said the child did not comply with the man’s request. The suspect subsequently drove away and was last seen heading southbound on National Street toward Corona Avenue.

The incident was reported to the 110th Precinct; the child was physically unharmed.

Persons with information regarding the incident or the suspect’s whereabouts that could prove helpful are asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577- TIPS. Information may also be sent to Crime Stoppers via text message to 274637 (enter information, then the code TIP577) or online at www.nypdcrimestoppers.com.

All calls and messages will be kept confidential.
