Royals Keep Rolling, Lead Division



Christ the King Boys’ Varsity rose to the occasion in their toughest three game week of the season; defeating Iona Prep 5-1, St. Francis Prep 2-0, and tying Fordham Prep 2-2. Captains John Nunez and Juan Carlos Obregon took turns leading their teams to success in the matches, Coach Michael Cognato said. Nunez scored both goals against St. Francis Prep and Obregon assisted, then capitalized on a penalty kick in the final minutes to tie against Fordham Prep. The pair each scored and assisted against Iona Prep, and senior Andy Munoz lead the scoring with two goals. The Royals currently hold first place in the Brooklyn-Queens Diocesan divsion.
