A note-carrying crook made off with over $2,000 in a bank robbery in Ridgewood late Monday afternoon, police reported.

Officers from the 104th Precinct responded to a call of a robbery from the Capital One Bank located at 70-01 Forest Ave. at around 3:30 p.m. on Monday afternoon.

According to police, the suspect — described as a white male, standing about 5 feet 11 inches tall — entered the bank and handed the 38-year-old female employee a note demanding cash and specifically stating he did not want a dye pack.

Authorities said the employee complied with the note and handed over $2,200 in cash to the suspect, who thenfled northbound along Forest Avenue on foot, police said.

The robber was last seen wearing a light green jacket, black pants and black sneakers.

No injuries were reported, and an investigation is ongoing.

Anyone with information regarding this robbery is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS, visit their website or send a text message to 274637 (CRIMES), then enter TIP577. All calls and messages will be kept confidential.
