Friends raise funds to pay for Ridgewood murder victim’s funeral
Friends and loved ones of Carolyn Bush, the 25-year-old woman who was stabbed to death inside of her Ridgewood apartment on Sept. 28, have joined together to start a fundraising campaign to help cover the costs of her funeral. Bush’s friend and former roommate, Masha Mitkov, created a campaign on the popular crowdsourcing website GoFundMe, to help raise the funds. More...

Lady Royals shutout the Mary Louis Academy
The Christ the King (CTK) High School girls varsity soccer team’s defense was the highlight of the afternoon as the Royals defeated Mary Louis Academy 6-0 on Wednesday, Sept. 28, at Cunningham Park in Fresh Meadows.  Karen Pined and Kiana Leger both came through with two goals each for CTK.
